Program: Vietnam Retreat
Day 1. Arrival
Arrive at The Interlude Villa in Hoi An. Meet your fellow artists and begin the journey.
Day 2. Monochromatic Portrait + One-to-One Tuition
In the morning, we will learn monochromatic watercolor portrait techniques while exploring freedom and trust in water. Through this enjoyable exercise, we will cover many aspects of my watercolor approach, allowing you to step into my artistic vision from the very first day.
In the afternoon, a dedicated 30-minute one-to-one session with each student (first half of the group). We will review your portfolio, discuss your goals for the retreat, and identify the areas where you would like to grow the most.
Day 3. Hoi An Guided Tour + One-to-One Tuition
In the morning, we will explore the beautiful city of Hoi An with a guided tour and enjoy lunch together.
In the afternoon, a dedicated 30-minute one-to-one session with each student (second half of the group). We will review your portfolio, discuss your goals for the retreat, and identify the areas where you would like to grow the most.
Day 4. Creativity
Demos, exercises, and ideas! I will share my favorite techniques and show you how I integrate them into a project. Learn how to develop an idea, moving from a rough concept to a clear sketch.

In the evening, explore Hoi An by night, enjoying the lanterns and vibrant night markets.
Day 5. Create Your First Project
We will choose your strongest idea and find the best way to turn it into a painting.
Explore composition, contrast, balance, and ways to communicate emotions through your work.
Day 6. Create Your Second Project
Work on a portrait inspired by your experience in Vietnam. Learn how to use yourself and the world around you as sources of inspiration and reference. Discover ways to merge figures and environments with harmony and freshness.
In the evening, explore Hoi An by night, enjoying the lanterns and vibrant night markets.
Day 7. Portrait & Emotions + Mini Exhibition
In the morning, finish your paintings and plant the seeds for future projects.
As the sun sets, we will hold a mini exhibition to celebrate your progress and creativity.
Day 8. Check out
Check out and transfer to the airport for departure.
